Astrid Helm is a Panel Support Coordinator, US for OpinionSite. Get to know more about her below!

What is your role within OpinionSite?

I am part of the Opinionsite Help desk team. I respond to our community member’s inquiries about payments, account updates, technical issues with survey links or any questions they have.

What interested you when deciding to join OpinionSite?

The company I was working for before was shutting down, so I started looking for another job. While I was job hunting, some of my former co-workers and friends told me good things about Opinionsite so I decided I wanted to join the team.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is that I am able to work from home and take care of my two-year-old. I also love that I can go at my own pace, respecting of course, our policy of 48-hour response to our tickets.

What are some common questions you receive/tips you would share with panelists?

The most common question I get in the Helpdesk is “where is my honorarium”. Some respondents do not realize that once they complete the survey their account is credited and we do not do automatic payments, they must login and redeem their rewards.

Congratulations on gaining your US citizenship recently! What was that process like for you?

My immigration journey was very long and expensive beginning with my fiancée visa until my citizenship. Surprisingly, the citizenship process was very easy and fast. I am glad I am done with immigration!

What is a fun fact, hidden talent, or hobbies you enjoy?

A fun fact about me is that I have three different nationalities. I was born in Costa Rica, raised in Panama City, Panama and now I am a U.S citizen. My first two citizenships were not taken away from me when I became a U.S Citizen.

A hidden talent I have is that I am very good at organizing/decorating a space without spending a lot of money.

I enjoy cooking foods from different countries and cleaning. Cleaning is a very therapeutic to me.
